| Special Session 15: Non-Orthogonal and Rate-Splitting Multiple Access for Future Wireless Networks |
The sixth-generation (6G) mobile communication networks are expected to support massive connectivity, heterogeneous quality-of-service requirements, ultra-reliable transmission, and flexible resource utilization across diverse application scenarios. Conventional orthogonal multiple access schemes may face significant limitations in supporting the rapidly increasing number of users and differentiated service demands due to their rigid resource partitioning in time, frequency, code, or space domains. Non-orthogonal multiple access and rate-splitting multiple access provide promising solutions by enabling flexible interference management, efficient resource sharing, and enhanced spectral efficiency through advanced signal superposition, message splitting, beamforming, and receiver processing.
This session is dedicated to exploring the theoretical foundations, enabling technologies, and practical applications of advanced multiple access techniques for future wireless networks. We solicit contributions from the perspectives of multiple access theory, resource allocation, transceiver design, interference management, and cross-domain resource multiplexing. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, NOMA, RSMA, hybrid orthogonal/non-orthogonal access, multiple access in emerging waveforms, and robust transmission under imperfect channel state information. We warmly welcome researchers to submit their latest findings and insights, and to jointly promote the development of flexible, efficient, and reliable multiple access technologies for future wireless communication systems.
